Αξιότιμοι επίσημοι καλεσμένοι!

Αγαπητοί συγχωριανοί Οξυνειώτες και κοντοχωριανοί!

Πρώτη φορά φέτος το 2018, λόγω της μόνιμης διαμονής μου στο εξωτερικό, κατέστη δυνατό να παρευρεθώ στο μνημόσυνο για τους πεσόντες στη Μάχη της Μερίτσας στις 12 Φεβρουαρίου 1943.

Επειδή τα στρατιωτικά-πολεμικά γεγονότα εδώ στη Βελίκα Οξύνειας έχουν αναλυθεί επαρκώς στο παρελθόν, θα εστιάσω σήμερα αποκλειστικά σε μια σπάνια λεπτομέρεια.

Θεωρώ τιμή μου που μου δίνεται η ευκαιρία να αναφερθώ σε μια – για το πλατύ κοινό – άγνωστη πτυχή αυτής της σύγκρουσης ελληνικών χασιώτικων πατριωτικών δυνάμεων με τους κατακτητές και να αναφέρω μερικά συγκεκριμένα άτομα της Οξύνειας που συνέβαλαν σημαντικά στη νικηφόρο έκβαση αυτής της μάχης και μάλιστα χωρίς όπλα.

Αυτές οι Οξυνειώτισσες και ο Οξυνειώτης δυστυχώς μέχρι τώρα δεν έτυχαν της απαιτούμενης προσοχής, της μνείας κατά την παρουσίαση του ιστορικού γεγονότος και ιδιαίτερα της προσήκουσας τιμής.

Επρόκειτο για τρία ανήλικα παιδιά, δυο κορίτσια κι ένα αγόρι, εκ των οποίων δυο είναι εν ζωή στην Οξύνεια. Ανήλικα μεν, αλλά χωρίς την αυτοθυσία τους, χωρίς τη διακινδύνευση της ζωής τους, είναι άγνωστο αν θα πετύχαινε τόσο γρήγορα και με ασφάλεια η επικοινωνία, η συνεννόηση των αγωνιστών έξω από το χωριό και των έγκλειστων συγχωριανών μέσα στο χωριό.

Δυο σχεδόν ταυτόχρονα γεγονότα καταγράφονται: ένα στο δυτικό μαχαλά του χωριού, στην Κούλια, κι άλλο ένα στο βόρειο μαχαλά, στη Βρύση Τρανή. Ας αρχίσω με το δεύτερο.

Το ιταλικό τάγμα, σαν σήμερα ακριβώς πριν 75 χρόνια (11.02.43), βρισκόταν ήδη τη δεύτερη μέρα στην Οξύνεια, με σκοπούς σε αρκετά φυλάκια στις κατάλληλες θέσεις, πολλοί κάτοικοι είχαν εγκαταλείψει το χωριό και οι Ιταλοί απειλούσαν κι απαιτούσαν να επιστρέψουν οι Οξυνειώτες στα σπίτια τους. Κάποιοι στο χωριό θεώρησαν ορθό να ειδοποιήσουν τους συγχωριανούς τους ή οι απ΄ έξω ζήτησαν να πληροφορηθούν για τις προθέσεις των κατακτητών. Πριν το μεσημέρι έγραψαν πρόχειρα ένα σημείωμα με σχετικές οδηγίες κι έπρεπε να το περάσουν απαρατήρητα από κάθε σκοπό. Επέλεξαν να χρησιμοποιήσουν ένα ανήλικο παιδί ως αγγελιαφόρο με την πεποίθηση ότι ο κάθε Ιταλός σκοπός δε θα αντλήσει καμια υποψία. Αυτός ο βαρύς κλήρος έπεσε στο τότε επτάχρονο αγόρι, το Σοφοκλή Πέτρου. Ο πρόεδρος Ηλίας Δωρούσης και ο ιερέας Χρήστος Μπαντζογιάννης έκρυψαν το σημείωμα στο τσιρέπι του δεξιού ποδιού του με την εντολή να το πάει ο Σοφοκλής στα μαντριά ανατολικά του χωριού στη θέση Γκαλντάρα. Βγαίνοντας από το χωριό, ο Ιταλός σκοπός, στη ραχούλα δίπλα απ΄ το σημερινί κτίριο του Δασαρχείου, σταμάτησε το μικρό Σοφοκλή και νοσταλγώντας ίσως κάποιο μικρό παιδί του στην Ιταλία, λέει στο φοβισμένο Σοφοκλή: «Picolo mio, picolo mio! (Μικρό μου!)». Ο Σοφοκλής διηγείται: «Με χαρά με αγκαλιάζει, με χαϊδεύει και με φιλάει στοργικά σα νάμουνα δικό του παιδί. Ενώ εγώ έβαλα στα κλάματα, φοβούμενος μην τυχόν ανακαλύψει το σημείωμα στο τσιρέπι μου, αυτός με καθησύχαζε με το ΄No, picolo, no!΄ Τελικά με άφησε να συνεχίσω το δρόμο μου ανενόχλητος». Ο κρυφός στόχος του Σοφοκλή ήταν να πει στον Χρήστο Δωρούση απέναντι απ΄ το ποτάμι Ρεντιμπέρος, να διαβάσει το σημείωμα που έγραφε περίπου τα εξής: «Μην έρθετε στο χωριό, πάρτε τα ζώα και κρυφτείτε από τους Ιταλούς. Ειδοποιείστε τους ανθρώπους στη Ζήγρια. Συμπτυχθείτε με άλλες δυνάμεις». Έτσι κι έγινε. Ο Χρήστος Δωρούσης ειδοποίησε όλα τα μαντριά στην περιοχή Γκαλντάρα, Γκρεμίνες και τον Γιώργο Τρέλλη στη Ζήγρια. Το γεγονός όμως ότι ο Σοφοκλής ήταν ακόμη μικρό παιδί που δεν ήξερε ακόμη να διαβάζει, δε σμικραίνει την πράξη του, αλλά την εξυψώνει και την κάνει ακόμη πιο γεναία.

Η άλλη αξιομνημόνευτη πράξη συντελέστηκε στην Κούλια, με πρωταγωνίστριες δυο ανήλικα κορίτσια και μια 25χρονη γυναίκα, εκ των οποίων μόνον ένα άτομο ζει. Νοτιοδυτικά της Οξύνειας είχαν αναπτυχθεί διάφορες αντιστασιακές ομάδες, η κάλλιστα οργανωμένη (Μ.Ι.Δ.Α.Σ.) υπό τον Οξυνειώτη υπολοχαγό του διαλυθέντος Ελληνικού Στρατού, Αριστείδη Μπλούτσο, σε υψώματα γύρω από τη Βρύση Κανάρη, Σταυρός, Σημείο, Τσιούμα Τόπρη και Μαντριά Μυλωνά. Ο Μπλούτσος μετά από ειλικρινή συνεννόηση με τους ομαδάρχες του Ε.Λ.Α.Σ. και των άλλων χασιώτικων αντιστασιακών ομάδων επεδίωξε να εξακριβώσει ποιο ήταν το πιο κατάλληλο καρτέρι, το σημείο ενέδρας κατά των Ιταλών. Ο Μπλούτσος γράφει: «Επειδή βασικός παράγων όστις θα καθώριζε την οριστικήν θέσιν της ενέδρας μας, ήτο το δρομολόγιον, το οποίον θα ηκολούθουν οι Ιταλοί κατά την αναχώρησίν των, έγραψα εν σημείωμα προς την Ανδρομάχην Ράπτη … το οποίον έκρυψα εις τας πλουσίας πλεξούδας της Βαϊτσας Παπαχρήστου … και της είπα να το πάη εις την οικίαν της Ανδρομάχης και να το δώση εις την ίδια»¹. Αυτή η Βαϊτσα Παπαχρήστου, 12 χρονών τότε, είναι η αδελφή του πατέρα μου, η θεία μου. Η ίδια διηγείται: «Τότε πήγαινα με την αδελφή μου Θεοδώρα απ΄ το χωριό στο μαντρί μας στη Βρύση Κανάρη, κουβαλώντας φαγητά για γονείς κι αδέλφια. Σε μια διασταύρωση λίγο μετά το Εικόνισμα με σταμάτησε ο Χρήστος Μυλωνάς, έδωσα τον τροβά μου στην αδελφή μου και με πήρε μαζί του. Με συνόδεψε μέχρι λίγο πιο πέρα σε μια ράχη. Εκεί ήταν μια αχερώνα του Στέργιου Τσιλίκη, μέσα κάθονταν 30 – 40 άνδρες, στη μέση μια φωτιά και γύρω στημένα όπλα. Φοβήθηκα. Ένας αξιωματικός – αργότερα έμαθα ότι ήταν ο Αριστείδης Μπλούτσος – χτενίζοντας τα μαλλιά μου με την τσατσάρα του, μου έλεγε ότι θα πλέξει ένα σημείωμα στην κόσα μου και ότι πρέπει να το δώσω προσωπικά στην Ανδρομάχη Ράπτη στην άκρη του χωριού. Μου είπε ότι χρειαζόταν μια ειδοποίηση από το χωριό για το πού θα κατευθυνθούν οι Ιταλοί όταν θα φύγουν απ΄ το χωριό: προς το Κακοπλεύρι ή στην Καλαμπάκα. Ήταν μεσημέρι. Στο δρόμο φοβόμουν μη με κάνουν έλεγχο οι Ιταλοί. Στο σημερινό σπίτι του Χρήστου Μυλωνά στεκόταν ένας Ιταλός σκοπός, αρματωμένος με όπλα και σφαίρες σταυρωτά. Φοβήθηκα μη με αρπάξει απ΄ τα πυκνά μαλλιά μου και πέσει το μυστικό σημείωμα. Ο σκοπός με είδε, αλλά ευτυχώς δε με πρόσεξε περισσότερο κι έστριψα προς τα πάνω. Μετά έφτασα στην Ανδρομάχη και της είπα να βγάλει το σημείωμα από την κόσα μου. Περνώντας πάλι μπροστά από το σκοπό χωρίς να μου πει κάτι, πήγα στο σπίτι μας».

«Το σημείωμα», συνεχίζει ο Μπλούτσος, «δεν άργησε να φθάση εις τα χέρια της Ανδρομάχης, όπως δεν άργησε να μας έλθη και η απάντησις κατά τας απογευματινάς ώρας, με τον ίδιον τρόπον και με αγγελιαφόρον πλέον την μικράν (εξ)αδέλφην της Ανδρομάχης, Μαριάνθην Ράπτη» ¹.

Και τα τρία αυτά τα ανήλικα παιδιά, ο Σοφοκλής Πέτρου του Νικολάου και της Ευφροσύνης, η Βαϊτσα Παπαχρήστου του Δημητρίου και της Σταμούλως και η Μαριάνθη Ράπτη του Βασιλείου και της Γεωργίας, κουβάλησαν ένα πολύ σοβαρό μυστικό, κρυμμένο στο σώμα τους: στις πλεξίδες ή στο τσιρέπι και το διεβίβασαν – ως στρατιωτικοί διαβιβαστές! – στα αντίστοιχα άτομα. Γι΄ αυτό το λόγο αξίζουν όχι μόνον συγχαρητήρια, αλλά μια ιδιαίτερη τιμή και οι θανούσες ήδη και οι δυο ζώντες.

Ο ρόλος του καθενός ως αγγελιαφόρος σημαντικότατων ειδήσεων ήταν αντιστασιακός γιατί αυτά τα τρία ανήλικα παιδιά με την ανταλλαγή ειδήσεων συνέβαλαν στην άρτια κι έγκαιρη προετοιμασία και τελικά στην επιτυχή έκβαση της μάχης στη Βελίκα Μερίτσας (Οξύνειας) και γενικότερα της πρώτης οργανωμένης μάχης της ελληνικής αντίστασης. Αν τυχόν βρεθούν αυτά τα τρία ή κι άλλα σχετικά σημειώματα, θα είναι προορισμένα για το υπό ίδρυση Αγροτικό Μουσείο της Οξύνειας!

Ολόκληρο το χωριό μου Οξύνεια γνώριζε το μυστικό της επικείμενης μάχης και το κράτησε καλά. Ούτε μια λέξη δεν προδόθηκε στους Ιταλούς. Μπράβο!

Παρακαλώ τη θεία μου Βαϊτσα Φλόκα, το γένος Δημητρίου Παπαχρήστου, να προσέλθει. Ο Σοφοκλής Πέτρου δε μπόρεσε να έλθει λόγω επιδείνωσης της υγείας της γυναίκας του.

Σχόλια: Πολύ αξιόλογη αυτή η προσπάθεια του κ. Παπαχρήστου και μακάρι να είχε γίνει και από άλλους. Βασίστηκε στο γραπτό κείμενο του Αριστείδη Μπλούτσου και έψαξε και βρήκε τους επιζώντες που αναφέρονται στο κείμενο του Αριστείδη και του εξιστόρησαν τις μαρτυρίες.

Ευτυχώς δε ουδείς εκ των Ιταλών ομήρων έπαθεν ουδέν. Τους αιχμαλώτους υγιείς ή τραυματίας κατευθύναμεν προς το χωρίον και τους συνεκεντριωσαμεν εντός τον σχολείου, όπου τους παρεσχέθη θερμόν ρόφημα, φαγητόν και περίθαλψις υγειονομική εις τους τραυματίας χρησιμοποιηθέντων προς τούτο του Ιατρού και των νοσοκόμων τον τάγματος.

Βασίλης Παπαδήμας

Ο παπάς του χωριού Πούλιος Αθανάσιος βγάζει το πετραχήλι, φιλά ευλαβικά το Ευαγγέλιο, αφήνει το δισκοπότηρο, αρπάζει το ντουφέκι, κάνει την προσευχή του και τρέχει ρασοφορεμένος να προλάβει.Για τούτο οι αιχμάλωτοι Ιταλοί λέγανε: «πολλοί παπάδες παρτιζάνοι αφού υπήρχαν και πολλοί γενειοφόροι».

Στις 11 το πρωί ο Αδαμάντιος που γνώριζε ιταλικά μίλησε στους αιχμάλωτους μαζί με το Μαχιά και τους ανακοινώθηκε πως οι Έλληνες ξέρουν και να τιμωρούν και επειδή γνωρίζουν ότι η μεγαλύτερη τιμωρία είναι να συγχωράς τους αντιπάλους, αυτό κάναμε και εμείς οι αντάρτες ελευθερωτές της πατρίδας μας.Την ίδια μέρα άνδρες των δεκαρχιών συνόδευσαν τους αιχμαλώτους μέχρι το Μουργκάνι για να επιστρέψουν στην Καλαμπάκα.

Στέργιος Γιαννούλας

Επί 39 χρόνια αν έλεγες ότι συμμετείχες σε αυτή τη μάχη εθεωρείσο ότι ήσουν EAMOΒούλγαρος, ανθέλληνας και εναντίον του έθνους.

Μιχάλης Κοσβύρας

Πήγαμε και εμείς από το χωριό μας, περίπου δεκαπέντε νέοι, με ό,τι όπλο μπορούσε ο καθένας να εξοικονομήσει και με μόνο πεντ'-έξι σφαίρες, γιατί τα όπλα δεν ήταν όλα του ιδίου τύπου μαλιχέρ, μαουζέρ κ.ά.
