Project Details

Ο Λάζαρος Αρσ. Αρσενίου γεννήθηκε στην Καλαμπάκα το 1915. Στον πόλεμο του 1940-41 έλαβε μέρος ως εφ. ανθυπολοχαγός στην Μάχη της Πίνδου και τραυματίσθηκε στην Αλβανία. Συμμετείχε στην Εθνική Αντίσταση από το 1941 και εκλέχθηκε μέλος της Πανθεσσαλικής Επιτροπής του ΕΑΜ. Στον Εμφύλιο Πόλεμο διετέλεσε υπεύθυνος του εκδοτικού μηχανισμού "Παρτιζάνος" του Δημοκρατικού Στρατού. Με την αποφυλάκιση του εγκαταστάθηκε στην Λάρισα. Εργάσθηκε στην προοδευτική τοπική εφημερίδα "Θεσσαλικά Νέα" με διευθυντή τον κατοπινό βουλευτή και υπουργό Τύπου φίλου του Τάκη Γεωργίου ως συντάκτης και κατόπιν αρθρογράφος και διευθυντής. Διετέλεσε διευθυντής του περιοδικού "Συνεταιριστικά Νέα" της Ένωσης Γεωργικών Συνεταιρισμών Λάρισας, Υπήρξε τακτικός συνεργάτης επί 30 χρόνια (1968-1999) του περιοδικού "Οικονομικός Ταχυδρόμος" Αθηνών. Στο περιοδικό Αθηνών "Γυναίκα" δημοσιεύθηκαν λογοτεχνικά και λαογραφικά άρθρα. Διετέλεσε ανταποκριτής των αθηναϊκών εφημερίδων και συνεργάτης του Πρακτορείου "Ρώυτερ". Είναι μέλος της Ένωσης Συντακτών Θεσσαλίας - Στ. Ελλάδας - Ευβοίας. Τιμήθηκε με μετάλλια, και με άλλα βραβεία.
